Diablo III Coming to Xbox 360 and PS3

Blizzard announced this morning that Diablo III will be released on the PlayStation 3 on September 3, 2013. The company also revealed that an Xbox 360 version of the game has been in the works for quite some time and will release on the same date. Both games will be released simultaneously in the U.S., Canada, Spanish-speaking Latin America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.

Those who pre-order either console version of Diablo III will receive an exclusive in-game item: the Infernal Helm, which grants an experience point boost to any character who wears it. Certain retailers will also offer limited-edition preorder bonuses.

Blizzard claims that the consoles versions of Diablo 3 Gold feature custom controls to support play with a gamepad, co-op party play for up to four players via same-screen local cooperative play or online over PlayStation Network or Xbox Live. Players can also mix and match local coop teams with online players if they so choose.
